Lessons in English:

At Autorijschool Michiel (Driving school Michiel), it is possible to take your drive training in English.

Of course we dont just arrange the lessons, but also your practical driving test. We have extensive experience in teaching expats whose driver's licence is not valid in the Netherlands.

Before starting your practical lessons, it is advisable to pass your theory exam first. It is mandatory in the Netherlands to have passed your theory exam, before you can take your practical exam. Autorijschool Michiel can provide you with detailed information about this subject.

In the Netherlands, you can start your lessons when you are 16.5 years old. When you are 17 you can already take the practical exam, provided you have passed your theory exam. If you have passed both your theory and practical exams, you can drive independently next to an adult you have designated until your 18th birthday. It's called 2toDrive. From that moment on, you may drive a moped, scooter or speed pedelec. From your 18th birthday, you can drive independently in any car you like.
